All French citizens on short-term visits to Russia should leave the country immediately, the French Foreign Ministry said on its website on Sunday, citing growing air travel restrictions due to sanctions punishing the country for invading Ukraine.
And the US Embassy in Russia called on American citizens to leave Russia “immediately” because a number of countries have closed their airspace to the Kremlin.
“A growing number of airlines are canceling flights to and from Russia and many countries have closed their airspace to Russian airlines. “US citizens should consider leaving Russia immediately,” the US embassy said in a statement.
“The US embassy reminds its citizens that the level of travel guidance for Russia is at ‘Level 4: Do not travel,'” the statement added.
