The United States and France unequivocally condemn the Houthi attack on the UAE

The United States has strongly condemned “the current terrorist attack in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates” and will work to bring to justice Yemen’s Houthi movement, which aligns itself with Iran after the Yemeni Shiites claimed responsibility for the attack. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken condemned the attacks by the Yemeni Houthi movement in the United Arab Emirates, in a telephone conversation he had with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the state news agency WAM reported.

Houthi rebels attacked the United Arab Emirates in an operation in which they used rockets and drones, detonating fuel tankers that killed three people and setting fire near Abu Dhabi airport.

France has also “strongly condemned” attacks by pro-Iranian Yemeni Houthi rebels on Abu Dhabi International Airport and the nearby industrial zone.

“These attacks threaten the territorial integrity of the United Arab Emirates and the stability of the region. France expresses its support for the UAE in the face of these attacks,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said in a statement.

The minister reiterated his call on the Houthis “to put an immediate end to their destructive actions in Yemen and the region and to engage constructively in the political process of overcoming the crisis” in that country.

“France reiterates its commitment to ending hostilities throughout the country and resuming talks for a comprehensive political agreement under the auspices of the United Nations,” he added.
