The United States donates 80 million doses of coronavirus vaccines to other countries: Ukraine is among the first

Ukraine is one of the first to receive COVID vaccines from the United States, which announced its intention to distribute 80 million doses among a number of countries. This is reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine.

 

Today, the administration of US President Joe Biden presented a plan for the distribution of the first 25 million doses of vaccines.

Mexico, Canada, South Korea, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Ukraine, Kosovo, Haiti, Georgia, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, as well as leading UN workers will receive about 6 million doses, the White House press service said.

Another 19 million doses will be distributed among the countries of Central America, Asia and Africa.

“The United States is pleased to announce that Ukraine will be one of the first to receive US vaccines against COVID-19, underlining our strong commitment to helping end the pandemic in Ukraine and around the world by accelerating access to COVID-19 vaccines for everyone.” , – said in a message from the US Embassy on Facebook.

How many doses Ukraine will receive is still unknown.

Today, a new batch of AstraZeneca vaccine – 705 600 doses has arrived in Ukraine within the framework of the international COVAX mechanism.
