The USA recommended today, Monday, to American citizens who are in Russia to leave this country “immediately”, after Moscow invasion of Ukraine.
“American citizens should consider leaving Russia immediately through the trade travel options that are still available,” the State Department said in a statement, which had already advised Americans to do not go there, broadcasts AFP.
He warns, however, that these trade options are declining rapidly due to international sanctions which include the closure of several countries’ airspace on Russian planes. The new warning from US diplomacy was issued to also include the decision taken today to allow the unnecessary departure of the US embassy staff in Moscow.
“The capacity of the US government to provide routine or emergency services to US citizens in Russia is extremely limited,” he said. State Departmentwhich also warns of risk of “harassment” Americans by the Russian authorities.
