The consumer sentiment index in the US has decreased from 81.8 points in October to 76.9 (final) in Novemberthe latest consumer surveys from the University of Michigan showed Wednesday. This figure has been lower than market expectation and the previous estimate of 77 points.

Additional details of the publication have revealed that the index of current economic conditions rose to 87 from 85.9 and consumer expectations index fell to 70.5 from 79.2.
