The US and Israel have begun the largest joint military high schools they have ever held

The United States and Israel today began their largest ever joint military exercises, deploying dozens of warships and about 140 planes to the eastern Mediterranean, as tensions rise over Iran’s nuclear program.

Thousands of soldiers are taking part in the exercise, it was announced by the Israeli armed forces, who added that the aim of the high schools is to deal with “various regional threats”. According to media reports, these are the largest joint military high schools ever held by the two allies.

The US Central Command announced: “These high schools enhance collective US-Israeli readiness and improve cooperation between the two forces, thereby contributing to regional stability.”

Speaking at a meeting with representatives of the American Jewish Committee, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the common goal of the two allies is to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, as reported by international agencies and relayed by the Athens News Agency.

Iran’s nuclear program was also at the center of talks between US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Netanyahu last week in Jerusalem.
