The US announced that 4 Houthi drones were destroyed in Yemen in 24 hours

The US armed forces announced today, Monday 8/7, that yesterday Sunday they destroyed two Houthi drones in areas controlled by the rebel movement in Yemen, adding that allied forces shot down two more remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicles over the Gulf of Aden. The systems were deemed to pose an “imminent threat to US and allied forces and merchant vessels transiting the area,” the US Joint Chiefs of Staff responsible for the Middle East said via X, using standard language for such operations. Yesterday morning, sources close to the Greek armed forces reported that the frigate Psara (F-454) – which participates in the European mission Shields for the protection of shipping off Yemen – shot down two drones that threatened a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden, while two more UAVs were removed.
