The Greek-American and Irish communities are the only national groups in the US to celebrate their national anniversary at the White House every year. US President Joe Biden appeared to applause in the room together with the Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros. However, the show was stolen by the Armed Forces band. Video aired on ERT shows the US Armed Forces band outside the March 25 event at the White House playing Ikariotikos, while shortly before the song begins someone can be heard shouting “oops!”. The singer, excited by the rhythm, begins to sing in broken Greek.
