The US does not expect any change from the outcome of the presidential election in Iran

The United States said today it does not expect any “substantial change” in Iran, regardless of who wins the presidential election, as the first round was deemed neither “fair nor free”. Iran’s presidential election will be decided on July 5 between the candidates – reformist Massoud Pezeghian and ultraconservative Saeed Jalili – who prevailed in the first round, where turnout was the lowest since the Islamic Republic’s inception in 1979.
