A secret document of the Pentagon released, argues that Europe is alone if Russia invades, as the US is not going to get involved. According to a Washington Post report that revealed the issue, the document entitled “Intermediate Strategic National Defense Guidance” states that the US would support Europe against Russia with its huge nuclear deterrent capabilities, but the allies could not rely on US troops. This means in essence that there will be no help, because the document “the whole US military will be used to prevent the Chinese threat”.
