US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is trying to convince European allies that President Joe Biden's administration remains committed to supporting Ukraine, even as Washington has effectively run out of money to continue arming Kiev and there is little sign that Congress will will again allocate funds. House Republican Speaker Mike Johnson has so far refused to hold a vote on a bill that would have provided an additional $60 billion to Ukraine, and the White House is scrambling to find ways to send aid to fighting Kiev. with Russian forces for more than two years.
