The vaccination certificate for traveling to Europe is ready

The agreement has been reached: the EU Parliament, the Member States and the Commission have decided how the «I Digital certificate Covid-19», The Covid digital vaccination certificate (it will no longer be called Digital green certificate), thanks to which, from 1 July, free movement within the European Union will be restored. “We are maintaining our commitment to have the EU digital Covid certificate up and running before the summer,” explained the president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

The vaccination certificate will be available both in digital format, with QR code, and on paper. On theI Digital Covid Certificate it will be indicated if the holder has been given the vaccine against Covid (two doses or one, in the case of Janssen vaccine), if he is negative in the test or if he has recovered from the infection. THE Valid vaccines are those approved by the EMAbut not only: States can also accept others under national emergency authorization procedures (as in Hungary Sputnik V and Sinovac) or the World Health Organization for emergency use.

The Member States (and this point has been a cause for long discussion and confrontation) they will not be able to impose quarantine, self-isolation or other tampons. However, if the epidemiological situation in a country were to suddenly and unexpectedly precipitate, a government could establish additional measures “where necessary and proportionately, based on evidence, with notification to the Commission and other member states”.

Furthermore, to ensure an affordable price for the tests, the European Commission has allocated at least 100 million euros for the purchase of tampons. The next step will be the vote in the planetarium on 7 June in Strasbourg.
