The vegan KitKat is coming

KitKat’s latest novelty makes everyone agree: it is the KitKat vegano. Is called KitKat V, is enclosed in a green packaging and is made with certified vegan raw materials and 100% sustainable cocoa sourced from Nestlé Cocoa Plan plantations certified by the Rainforest Alliance.

The new flavor was created by experts from the confectionery research and development center of Nestlé a York, in the United Kingdom, the original headquarters of KitKat, which they worked for months to be able to create a veg version up to the taste of the iconic snack made with chocolate covered wafers.

The company announced that KitKat V will soon be available in various countries around the world (without specifying yet which ones), in selected points of sale and in the KitKat Chocolatory, that is, specialized single-brand stores. Nestle also wanted to highlight that the novelty comes to the great demand of consumers which, especially on social media, have long been asking for an alternative plant-based.

Alexander von Maillot, Nestlé’s Head of Confectionery, said: “A silent food revolution is underway. We want to be part of it, supporting the discovery of plant-based food and drink. What better way to do this than to offer a vegan version of one of our most famous and loved brands? ».

So the company continues to keep up: KitKat, a cult snack in countries such as Japan (where there are 250 different ones), has only launched trendy news. Among the latest the Pink KitKat covered with Ruby chocolate, KitKat with matcha tea, and KitKat Gold covered with caramel chocolate.
