The candidates for the Central Committee are 464 and according to the amendments to the Articles of Association that were voted late last night with a large majority will consist of 301 members of which 1/3 will be women. This reduces the intensity of who will be elected.
The party’s deputies and MEPs, former presidents, representatives of higher education unions have the right to participate in the Central Committee – without election.
Among the candidates are close associates of Nikos Androulakis, such as Andreas Spyropoulos, who is expected to be elected Secretary of the party at the first meeting of the Central Committee in the coming days.
Candidates are also Stefanos Xekalakis, the party’s spokesman, Dimitris Mantzos, the director of the office of the PASOK president, KINAL, Eleni Anastasiou and others.
