US Ambassador Bridget Brink believes that the main challenges in her work in Ukraine are the war waged by Russia and the consolidation of democracy. The relevant statements were made during a national telemarathon, transmits the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
“The number one challenge right now is the war (of Russia against Ukraine). But as I understand it, the people and the government of Ukraine want to finally integrate into Europe, into its institutions. “For this reason, the second challenge is to fight corruption, to uphold the rule of law and other things that are aimed at strengthening your democracy,” said Brink.
The US ambassador added that the US has long supported Ukraine’s efforts in this direction and will continue to do so in the future.
The US ambassador to Ukraine on June 2 presented her credentials to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
