The suspense “The Observers” entered the catalog of Max, HBO’s streaming service, this Friday (30). The title is the debut film of Ishana Night Shyamalan daughter of M. Night Shyamalan the name behind productions such as “The Sixth Sense” (1999), “Closed Body” (2000) and “Fragmented” (2016), who acts as producer on the feature film.
The plot is an adaptation of the book of the same name by AM Shine and follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist who gets lost in a vast and terrifying natural forest in the west of Ireland. When she finally finds shelter, she ends up trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures every night.
The production stars Dakota Fanning (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and “Big Girl, Little Woman”), Georgina Campbell (“Brutal Nights” and “Suspicion”), Oliver Finnegan (“The Horror Diaries” and “Outlander“) and Olwen Fouere (“The Man from the North” and “The Tourist”).
