The way of reopening: the route towards April with less Green Pass

The date is always that of March 31st. In just over a month, Italy will reopen. Whether it does it totally or only in part is to be seen, but that there will be a reopening is certain. It will be linked to the numbers of the pandemic, but it will look at other numbers, those of the economy. Since April, Italy has wanted tourism back, especially foreign tourism, and for this reason it is almost a certainty that there will be no extension of the Green Pass obligation for hotels and other structures that expires at the end of March.

This decision is one of those that will enter the calendar that the government is ready to launch in view of the expiry of the state of emergency on March 31st. The limits and dates for lifting restrictions must be as clear as they already are in other countries. The United Kingdom hails all restrictions from this week and begins living together with Covid. France and Spain have given indications.

The buffer for those arriving from European countries has already been eliminated, and the obligation of quarantine for those coming from other countries should also be removed. The acceptance of the vaccine is already certain Sputnik and therefore of entry to those vaccinated with this in Italy. The use of paper certifications is also allowed for those coming from countries where there is no Green Pass.

In addition to the rules that already end in the next few weeks (visits to hospitals return and you can eat at the cinema), for hotels and other residential structures should drop the Green Pass requirement at the end of March. The obligation expires on the 31st like that of having it for fairs, events, congresses. The first restrictions to fall should then be those for outdoor bars and restaurants for which the Green Pass should no longer be required. If these will fall already in April, those for indoor premises should leave from May.

Enhanced green certification also serves to take i means of transport local and long-distance. This restriction could last longer. The obligation to show the reinforced Green Pass could be renewed, which instead should be renewed for all indoor sports, swimming pools and gyms. Already in March we will go to the stadium with 75% of the seats occupied and on the 24th there could be 100% for the match of the National team in Palermo, that of the play-off for a place in the world championship.

Only the Red in the division into bands up to now used for the regions. The Green Pass will also remain, but only for a limited number of activities. The masks will remain indoors, in particular for shows and events, but it is said that the obligation to wear Ffp2 masks remains.

The vaccination campaign remains, but from April there may no longer be the commissioner structure. The extraordinary commissioner for the emergency, the general Francesco Paolo Figliuoloon the sidelines of a visit to the Meyer pediatric hospital in Florence, he explained: “We have vaccine doses stowed for any eventuality, then after March 31, when we will pass the hand, there are all the interlocutions with the Ministry of Health for leave a package ready ».

He also spoke of a hypothetical fourth dose: «As regards the fourth dose of the anti Covid vaccine we are about to give the implementing provisions because with the Ministry of Health and the Regions we are well identifying the audiences. Obviously it will be quite extensive for the fragile categoriesand my indication is that we will leave on March 1st, so we will certainly continue to keep the organization that is now in place ».
