Canadian pop singer The Weeknd announced this Monday (28) his tour in 2023 with two shows in Brazil – in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The artist’s concerts will take place between June and October in Europe and Latin America.
The first show in Brazil is in Rio de Janeiro, on October 7th, at the Nilton Santos Stadium, known as Engenhão, in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro. In São Paulo, the show will take place on October 10 at Allianz Parque, in the west zone of São Paulo.
Tickets go on sale on December 8th.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, began his music career in 2010 and has won four Grammy Awards through 2021. This year he has not won any category at the awards.
The Weeknd’s tour is in support of the album “Dawn FM”, his fifth studio album, released earlier this year. The production was a sequel to the award-winning “After Hours”, from 2020, and features sixteen new tracks, between songs and vignettes.
