The Weeknd releases music movie trailer with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan

In partnership with the Lionsgate Cinema Studio, the singer The Weeknd 34, will release a movie psychological thriller with actors’ performances Jenna Ortega (“Wandinha”) and Barry Keoghan (“Saltburn”). The first trailer was released on Tuesday (4).

The feature film is titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow” homonymous with the artist’s fourth studio album, and promises to function as an “extension” of the album, released in January 31.

Directed by Trey Edward Shults (“The waves”), the production comes from an original idea of ​​the singer himself. The plot follows a musician who is “plagued by insomnia” and “is pulled to an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the core of his existence,” according to the original synopsis.

Jenna Ortega is also executive producer.

Film production debuts in May 16 in theaters .

The Weeknd began his new musical era in a performance in Brazil in September 2024. At the time, the musician also singing with Brazilian artist Anitta.

“Hurry Up Tomorrow” ends a trilogy created by the musician in 2020, when he released the album “After Hours”. In 2022, the continuation of the previous one, the “Dawn FM” .
