Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain’s far-right Reform UK party, said the eastward enlargement of the EU and NATO had prompted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. His comments, made during a BBC interview that aired late last night, drew sharp criticism from across the political spectrum in Britain ahead of the July 4 general election in which Farage’s party is expected to win millions of votes.
