The singer Lisa of the Blackpink is about to debut her acting career – and in a special way: in her homeland. She is in the cast of the third season of “The White Lotus” which is set in Thailand. In an interview with Elle magazine, the artist revealed that she cried when she got the role.
“I think I cried. I was with my friends, my mom’s friends and my mom too, but I didn’t tell them I auditioned. I’m super excited and nervous because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second and then I was like, ‘Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?’” she said.
“It’s very new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos… I’m excited for my fans to see it,” she added.
Speaking about filming in Bangkok and the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui, Lisa stated: “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more.”
The third season of “The White Lotus” premieres in 2025 on Max, HBO’s streaming service. The first seasons are available on the platform. The series has already won five Emmys. Natasha Rothwell, who starred in the first season, returns to the resort. See all the confirmed names below.
