The WHO expects China to cooperate in the second phase of the coronavirus investigation

The head of the World Health Organization (WHERE) said today, Tuesday, that it expects all countries, including of Of China, to cooperate in the second phase of the research on its origin coronavirus, after the initial shipment to the country of the Far East.

Speaking at an event in Geneva on trade and COVID-19, the WHO Director-General Tentros Antanom Gebregesus stated that he hopes that the next phase of studies will begin as soon as possible.

He also reiterated his support for a international treaty for epidemiological preparedness and response, according to the RES EIA. “People need a framework,” he said.

It is recalled that China has been criticized for lack of transparency with regard to the reporting of the first cases of the new coronavirus, inter alia. In the past, a joint WHO and China team visited Wuhan Institute of Virology, but the US expressed concern that the group did not have adequate access to the Institute.
