The whole plan for compulsory vaccination

A few hours after the announcements of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the mandatory vaccination of age groups over 60 years and the imposition of a fine in case they are not vaccinated, the relevant amendment on the mandatory vaccination saw the light of day.

According to her, the deadline for those who belong to this age group and have not been vaccinated is January 16th, while the completion of the vaccination cycle must be done according to the prescribed procedures and at the prescribed time.

Specifically, it concerns those born from 31/12/1961, who will have to do at least the first dose of the vaccine by January 16, 2022, otherwise they will be fined 100 euros per month. It should be noted that within the first 24 hours, 11,000 first dose appointments were made by citizens over 60 years of age.

According to the amendment “For overriding reasons of public health protection, all natural persons who have a habitual residence in Greece and were born until 31/12/1961 must be vaccinated against coronavirus COVIND-19. The obligors must have received first or single dose until January 16, 2022, while the completion of the vaccination cycle must be done according to the prescribed procedures and time “.

Who is exempt from compulsory vaccination

People with disabilities who are unable to undergo a vaccination procedure for objective reasons related to their actual condition as a result of their illnesses, such as severe cases of autism and epilepsy, may be exempted from the vaccination requirement upon a reasoned recommendation. their therapist and after approval by the committees per health district of the above joint ministerial decision. What are the penalties and who pays half the fine

If those who are obliged do not proceed with their vaccination, they will be penalized.

Particularly:

If the obligation is not met, an administrative fine of 100 euros per month is imposed. In case of the first installment up to the 15th day of the month and the completion of the vaccination cycle according to the prescribed procedures and at the prescribed time, especially for this month, an administrative fine of 50 euros is imposed.

If the first installment is made from the 16th day of the month onwards, a total penalty of 100 euros is imposed. Especially for the month of January 2022, for violation of the obligation an administrative fine of 50 euros is imposed.

When are the sanctions lifted?

Penalties are lifted from the first day of the month following the first installment. In case of completion of the vaccination cycle, according to the foreseen procedures and the foreseen time, the penalties are imposed from the time of establishment of the relevant obligation. The relevant fine is certified and collected without delay by the Independent Public Revenue Authority in accordance with the Public Revenue Collection Code.

How to vaccinate the unvaccinated

For the imposition of the administrative fine, the necessary personal data will be transmitted, such as name, patronymic, registered name, date of birth and Social Security Registration Number, from IDIKA to the General Secretariat of Information Systems of Public Administration. Tax Registration Number of liable natural persons.

The Secretariat of Information Systems then transmits its data to the AADE so that the fines can be charged through the tax office to citizens who are over 60 and have not been vaccinated.

The amendment notes that the resources raised from the imposition of sanctions are used exclusively to strengthen the National Health System, in the context of tackling the coronavirus.
