“The Wild Robot”, animation by the director of “Lilo & Stitch” will have a sequel

The animation “The Wild Robot ” will get a sequel. According to the director Chris Sanders in an interview with Deadline, the new film is in development at DreamWorks Animation .

“There are, without a doubt, plans for a sequel,” Sanders confirmed to the outlet this Saturday morning (12). The sequence, however, There is no release date yet .

Plot based on the novel of the same name by Peter Brown a best-seller released in 2016, “The Wild Robot” narrates the journey of a robot, the ROZZUM 7134 unit, known as “Roz”, which is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. To survive in a hostile environment, she must learn to adapt, gradually building relationships with native animals.

It is directed by Chris Sanders, known for his work on “Lilo & Stitch“ (2002), “How to Train Your Dragon” (2010) and “The Croods” (2013).
