The Russian engineering company L-Charge has presented a mobile charger for electric vehicles. A station on a truck chassis can be called anywhere in the city using a mobile application. Arriving at the place, in just 8 minutes, she is able to charge an electric car for 100 kilometers. It is claimed to be the world’s fastest mobile charging station for electric vehicles.
While other similar stations are mobile batteries that themselves need charging, the Russian development is a power station on wheels that does not require an electrical connection. The energy source is liquefied natural gas, and the option of switching to hydrogen is already envisaged.
L-Charge is already launching a mobile charging service in Moscow, which at the testing stage will be available within the Moscow Ring Road with a call via a telegram bot. The purpose of the test period is to assess the level of demand for a service in the city. L-Charge plans to cover other Russian and foreign cities as well.
It is alleged that one L-Charge mobile station can charge 40 electric vehicles per day. At the same time, the cost of one kW of electricity is about 15 rubles, and the payback period of the charging station is two years.
