Huawei has unveiled the hotly anticipated smartwatch Huawei Watch D. The first information about the new product appeared back in September. The main highlight of the Huawei Watch D was the ability to change blood pressure in addition to the already familiar function of taking an electrocardiogram.
Huawei Watch D has even received certification as a medical device from the China Food and Drug Administration. The watch received special straps with a built-in miniature cuff, as in a familiar tonometer. The device provides an accuracy of +/- 3 mmHg – like most automatic blood pressure monitors.
The watch is equipped with a 1.64-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 280 x 456 pixels, a 451 mAh battery. Supported by NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, tracking blood oxygen (SpO2), heart rate, amount and quality of sleep, and other indicators important to health.
Protection against water (IP68) is provided. More than 70 sports modes are supported. The battery life is 7 days. The watch itself is based on HarmonyOS, it can be paired with smartphones based on HarmonyOS 2, Android 6.0 and newer, iOS 9.0 and newer.
The Huawei Watch D has already started accepting pre-orders in China at a price of $ 453. Open sales start on December 25th. When the promotion for early buyers ends, the price will rise to $ 469.
