The Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, said this Friday (10) that the invasion that took down the folder’s website is a topic for the Federal Police.
In conversation with the CNN Brasil, the minister said he thinks it is “unlikely” that the entire system will be reinstated this Friday (10).
“Theme for the Federal Police”, said the minister. “The technical area has been working intensively to solve the problem,” he added.
Due to the hacker invasion, the ministry announced that the ordinance with restrictions on the entry of foreigners into the country will be postponed for another week.
The Federal Police has already managed to identify that the hackers who invaded the Ministry of Health’s website did not have access to important data on the country’s health system.
A CNN Brasil found that the agents were able to identify and block the account that accessed the folder’s portal.
According to investigators, in the initial investigation, it was possible to identify that there was no encryption or data sequestration.
The Federal Police classified the attack as not relevant and, according to reports to the CNN Brasil, most of the Ministry of Health’s systems have already been re-established.
The investigation indicates that the attack was made by hackers looking for what is called graffiti, when the intention is to just drop pages, prevent temporary access to the system, or write something on the main page of a given website.
