There is a double installment of the family allowance

The beneficiaries of the relevant benefit will receive a double installment package of child benefits during the current and next month.

The first installment will be paid next Thursday, March 31 and will concern the first bi-monthly payment of the family allowance for 2022.

The second installment will most likely be paid during Holy Week, ie between April 18-21 (as Good Friday, April 22 is a public holiday).

This is an emergency payment under the package of support for socially vulnerable groups. This installment will correspond to 1.5 of the monthly payment of the family allowance.

More detail :

1. Regular payment of (1st) bi-monthly installment of family allowance for 2022.

OPEC on Thursday, March 31, will make (among other things) payment of 119.4 million euros to 580,673 beneficiaries for family allowances for children.

2. Extraordinary payment of family allowance before Easter.

An additional one-and-a-half monthly installment of child benefit is granted in April to March beneficiaries (an installment of 1.5 months), as part of the emergency package announced the government due to accuracy.

The amount of aid is 105 or 63 or 42 euros for each child for the first and second child, depending on the amount of income, and 210 or 126 or 84 by the third and for each subsequent child. The beneficiaries amount to 625,000, with more than 1 million children and the cost is estimated at 97.5 million euros.

According to official figures, the average monthly family allowance is 137 euros. If the 1st monthly installment is paid in April, the beneficiaries will receive the average amount of 205 euros (137 euros X 1.5).
