Both Ukrainian officials and the Russian Defense Ministry reported widespread military actions across eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk’s regional military administration, said Russian missile strikes against the city of Kramatorsk had destroyed at least eight residential buildings and educational and infrastructure facilities.
The artillery bombardment along the entire front line did not stop all night. The enemy fired more heavily in the directions of Mariinka, Avdiivka and Ocheretyne.

All three cities have suffered extensive bombing in recent weeks but remain under Ukrainian control.
“No civilian casualties have been reported so far, but many homes have been damaged and electricity and gas supplies have been disrupted,” Kyrylenko said.
In neighboring Luhansk, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that on Sunday, Russian forces “fired mortars, artillery and several rocket launchers at Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Lysychansk, Popasna, Hirske and Zolote”.
The enemy is deliberately targeting high-rise and private residences.

“Due to the bombing, 29 settlements remain without electricity, 38 settlements are without gas supply… There is no water supply in Rubizhne, Popasna.”
These cities and towns form a cluster of urban settlements that were the Ukrainian frontline for several weeks and suffered extensive damage. Ukrainian authorities estimate that 70% of Severodonetsk was destroyed.
Despite the fighting, some evacuations continued.
Serhii Haidai, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said 67 residents had been rescued from Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Popasna, Lysychansk and Hirske.
“The security situation changes every hour. Where it was still safe in the morning, Russian shells are now exploding,” Haidai said.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday that Russian forces launched high-precision missiles around Ukraine, claiming to have destroyed 16 Ukrainian military installations overnight.
The statement said Russian missiles hit five Ukrainian command posts, a fuel storage facility, three ammunition depots and military personnel and equipment. Most targets were in or around Donbas.
THE CNN could not immediately verify these claims.
Authorities in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, which borders Donetsk, say territorial defense brigades “have been fighting along the entire length of the front line”.
Zaporizhzhia regional military administration spokesman Ivan Arefyev said there had been Russian shelling of several villages within the Donetsk region, including Staromayorske and Makarivka. Several settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region were also hit, he said.
“Russian troops are using tanks, armored vehicles and infantry. In addition, they bombard settlements in the region with aviation, multiple rocket launchers, small arms artillery, 120 mm mortars and large-caliber machine guns,” Arefyev said, adding that “counter-offensive operations with aviation support, multiple rockets, artillery, mortars, armored vehicles” were in progress.
According to an analysis of CNN From the battlefields, most villages allegedly hit inside Zaporizhzhia had not been targeted before.
