There is no possibility of voting on the State-owned Law this Thursday without discussion with leaders, says Pacheco

The president of Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), stated that this Thursday (15) the vote on the bill that aims to modify the State-owned Law will not be held in the Senate. He did not, however, announce a new forecast for the analysis to be carried out.

“There is no possibility of voting today without discussion with leaders. We have to mature. Discuss the text. As the agenda for today’s session was published, there will be no extra-agenda discussion,” she explained.

The text was approved by the Chamber on Tuesday (13) and reduces from 36 months to 30 days the period of quarantine that a person who has acted in the decision-making structure of a political party or in work linked to the electoral campaign must go through to be able to take tenure in management position of public company and government-controlled company.

The proposal, however, was the target of criticism, which influenced the procedure in Congress.
