There will be no competitor to the GeForce RTX 3070 and Radeon RX 6700 XT from Intel any time soon. Intel Arc Alchemist Discrete Graphics Coming Later Than Expected

According to rumors, Intel was supposed to release its top-end discrete graphics card Arc Alchemist in the first quarter of 2022 – it was logical to wait for the announcement of new items at CES 2022. However, according to new data, Arc Alchemist will delay until the second quarter of next year. This means that sales will start no earlier than April.

There will be no competitor to the GeForce RTX 3070 and Radeon RX 6700 XT from Intel any time soon. Intel Arc Alchemist Discrete Graphics Coming Later Than Expected

In the first quarter, Intel dGPUs based on the Xe architecture (which is also the basis for Arc Alchemist) will be released for notebooks based on Alder Lake processors. It is they who are now given priority.

According to preliminary data, Arc Alchemist DG2-512 (this is how the full designation of the company’s top-end discrete video card now looks like) was supposed to fight simultaneously with GeForce RTX 3070 and Radeon RX 6700 XT, but the more Intel pulls with the release of this video card, the lower in segments it is descends. So, for example, in January, the debut of new Nvidia Super series graphics cards is expected, and they will turn out to be even more powerful than the current ones (although not by much). Perhaps some surprises should be expected from the outside and AMD. In this case, Arc Alchemist DG2-512 will have to compete with other models, and it is not a fact that against their background the Intel video card will be a more profitable purchase.
