In a post on Twitter, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (Progressistas-AL), stated that “there is nothing to celebrate in the recent events involving Petrobras”. Lira also declared that “there are no winners or losers”.
Yesterday (19), in an article for the newspaper “Folha de São Paulo”, the deputy criticized the then president, José Mauro Coelho, stating that he did not represent the company’s shareholders.
There is nothing to celebrate in recent events involving Petrobras. There are no winners and no losers. There is only the drama of the people, the vulnerable and the urgency of the fuel issue.

On the morning of this Monday (20), Coelho resigned from his position. The former president was fired a month ago, but the process of checking the candidate nominated to be his replacement, Caio Paes de Andrade, has not yet come to an end.
Petrobras announced that Fernando Assumpção Borges will take over as interim president until Andrade takes over.
“The time is for everyone to be humble, it is time for everyone to think about everyone and everyone to think about each one. Intransigence is not the best way. But we will not admit it. Greed is not above the Brazilian people”, added Lira.
