In an interview with CNN this Saturday (18), Flávia Pinto Ribeiro, president of the OAB Mulher RJ, stated that the actions carried out by MC Guimê and fighter Antônio Cara de Sapato “are clear and clear attitudes of the crime of sexual harassment“.

“The images speak for themselves. The change in the law is important, because before it was a private action in which it depended on the victim to file a complaint. And today harassment is a crime of unconditional public criminal action, that is, the public prosecutor is the holder of that action, the victim does not need to be heard”, adds Ribeiro.

Guimê and Cara de Sapato are investigated for suspected sexual harassment against Mexican actress and model Dania Mendez inside the Big Brother Brasil 23 house. Both were expelled from the reality show last Thursday (16).

“They will be held accountable, but I doubt they will ever be arrested for it”, evaluates the expert.

“The penalty provided for harassment is imprisonment from 1 to 5 years. And confinement is the most serious mode of confinement, as you can serve confinement through open, semi-open and closed regimes, ”he explained.

At another moment, when she was lying on a bed, he tries to immobilize her to kiss her again. He even covers her with a duvet. Dania had no aggressive reaction in either situation. She pointed out, however, that she did not consent to the acts and at various times said “no”.

After the party, throughout Thursday, fans of the program took to social media to ask for the expulsion of participants. The hashtag “EXPULSA OS DOIS BBB” spread across Twitter and became one of the most commented subjects.

Also on Thursday afternoon, the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro opened an inquiry to investigate alleged sexual harassment inside the Big Brother Brasil house.
