‘These are things that no man does’ – Israeli army releases video and photos of Hamas attack

The Israel Defense Forces on Monday released shocking 43 minutes of footage from the attack by Hamas which killed more than 1,400 people – including an interview with a man who admitted he had clear orders to kill women and children and even rape the bodies of the dead.

The horrible videos and photos released to journalists show Hamas shooting, torturing and beheading civilians during its incursion into the Gaza border on October 7. One of the videos shows the shocking moment a group of Hamas men, disguised as Israeli soldiers, pull passers-by out of cars before shooting the occupants. The bodies are then dragged out of the vehicles and left on the side of the road, with Hamas members then seen stealing the victims’ belongings from the cars, the Times of Israel reported.

Another video shows a captured Hamas member admitting that the group’s men “became animals” when carrying out their orders, slaughtering and terrorizing people across the Israelbroadcasts the New York Post.

“These are things that a man does not do – they decapitate people, they have sex with corpses, namely the body of a dead, young woman,” a Hamas man admitted in the video posted by Kan, Israel’s public broadcaster. “It’s not the people who do this.” Although the Hamas man said he knew that Islam prohibits the killing of women, children and the elderly, he explained that he and others were told to ignore it and enter every Israeli house they could with the intention of shooting “anyone inside the house.” “In the mosques we are told to have mercy on women and children. In military [Χαμάς] they tell us to kill, to slaughter them everywhere,” he said.

The member even said that they were told to step on people’s heads and to decapitate, likening his group to ISIS and calling Hamas “inhumane». Another video reviewed by journalists showed the moment a victim was brutally beheaded using a shovel and another incident where a father was killed by a grenade in front of his two sons as a Hamas soldier enjoyed a drink, according to the BBC. “Daddy’s dead, this ain’t no joke,” shouts one of the sons. “Why am I alive?”

The chilling images come as Israel tries to dispel skepticism about the attack, with the IDF saying many online have spread misinformation to try to play down the October 7 attack by comparing them to Holocaust deniers. Lt. Gen. Michael Edelstein, a former IDF division commander Gaza, told reporters that the new videos and photos should also put into perspective the need to destroy Hamas following criticism of Israel over its airstrikes in Gaza, which have killed more than 5,000 Palestinians, including children, according to Hamas-led Ministry of Health.

“We see that some of the channels are trying to compare what the Israel and what do these wretched terroristsEdelstein said. “I can’t understand anyone who compares.” “And after what we’ve shared with you, you should know.”

As it released the videos and photos, Israel once again stepped up its airstrikes in Gaza, hitting more than 320 targets in the last day, IDF officials said. The shelling has been mainly focused on northern Gaza as Israel prepares to pave the way for a ground invasion, releasing several leaflets in the area warning civilians to leave or be considered allies of Hamas. The move was condemned by the United Nations, which runs a civilian aid group, saying the mobilization of more than 1 million people was unrealistic, with many of the wounded in hospitals unable to move.
