Every year, the topic of smart home is mentioned in more and more articles and reviews. Manufacturers of cheaper routers in their specifications often focus on the possibility of combining household appliances into a single, well-functioning network. The combination of affordable prices and a common information field makes the implementation of a smart home a common phenomenon. Devices that we previously used to control analog or with a remote control have also been “pumped” and are now controlled from the phone. One example of such devices are fans with air purification technology.
small digression
But before moving directly to the two heroes of the review, it is worth clarifying what are the ways to combine devices without a wire and how they differ.
One of the concepts is a local control system for individual devices. Commands, in this case, are transmitted over a closed channel through one or more central hubs. All electronics are tied to one geographic location and can work even without the Internet and without the risk of intrusion by unauthorized persons. The second concept implies the self-sufficiency of each of the gadgets and individual access to the Internet. With this option, devices are not tied to a specific geographic point and are controlled through a cloud hub, but require continuous Internet access.
HIPER IoT Purifier SX02 and HIPER IoT Bladeless Fan T3 are gadgets of the second type of control. Each connects to a home Wi-Fi point and is able to receive commands through the cloud hub in the face of the HIPER IOT program, even when the user is away from home.

Appearance
Both devices represent a tower type of fans – all the filling is concentrated at the base, and distribution nozzles are located in the upper part, directing the outgoing air horizontally.

HIPER IoT Purifier SX02 has a cylindrical base with a small skirt at the very bottom, which houses the operating mode display screen and 4 touch control buttons. HIPER IoT Bladeless Fan T3 is the company’s new bladeless fan. It has a more minimalistic look. There is nothing on the tapered base but a round touch screen and, I believe, an infrared beam sensor for remote control.

The control on the touch screen in the younger model occurs with the help of short and long presses. Short – switch the speed, long – change the mode of operation. The touch keys on the older model are signed and are responsible for turning on / off, changing the power, night mode (minimum power) and setting the timer.

The location of the controls at the very bottom, in my opinion, is not the most convenient. In HIPER IoT Bladeless Fan T3, at the moment you press the touch screen, the visibility of the displayed information is blocked, and you can only focus on triggering by sound signals.
The set of both fans contains remote control panels powered by button-type batteries. In the HIPER IoT Bladeless Fan T3, the remote control is made entirely of white plastic and, unlike the HIPER IoT Purifier SX02 remote control, has a night mode on button.

In the upper part of both fans there are vertical slots for air outlet. The older model distributes air in a small height range of 65-90 cm from the floor, but in greater concentration due to two rows parallel to each other. In the younger model, air distribution is carried out exclusively along one vertical line, but in a larger height range – from 30 to 90 cm from the floor.

The manufacturer strongly recommends not to install devices near the battery, heater and other heat sources. It is also advisable to keep a minimum distance of 25 cm from fabric interior items, and 1 meter from electronics in the form of a computer, TV and other peripheral home devices.
In both cases, air is taken from below and, passing through the base, is supplied to the upper nozzles. However, the older (cylindrical) model implies the ability to change filters, while the younger (conical) model has a monolithic body and a much smaller suction area.

For a more even distribution of fresh air and its cooling, the fans can rotate around their axis by 120 degrees (Purifier SX02) and 80 degrees (Bladeless Fan Т3).
Branded application
To control devices with your smartphone and access more features, you need to install the HIPER IOT app. Following the instructions that appear on the screen, you will need to put the fans in visible mode by long pressing the power button or touch screen. At the moment when the letter “L” appears on the screen, the devices will be ready for pairing. The next step, after detecting devices by a smartphone, is to enter the name and password from the home network to connect gadgets to the Internet.

When all the above actions are completed, the program will open the main fan control menu. From the extended functionality, it will be possible to control fans outside the home. Another program will allow you to activate the backlight around the base of the Bladeless Fan T3. This is implemented more to indicate a fan in the space at night, rather than in terms of aesthetic decoration.

Activating the “light” slider in the HIPER IOT app for the Purifier SX02 model will simply turn on maximum power, while no LEDs on the fan will light up.
An important parameter in the characteristics, which the manufacturer focuses on, is support for the “smart home” system. Both models of fans are friends with assistants from Google, Amazon (Alexa) and Yandex (Alice). In the application itself, you can set automation tied to specific events. For example, activating a light bulb in a room, a specific time or timer, turning it on / off by determining the user’s geolocation.

Review
The relevance of fans on hot summer days is obvious. However, if you ask yourself why the heroes of the review are better than air conditioners, then I would highlight a few points in favor of the first:
- they can be moved from one room to another and arranged in a convenient way;
- perfectly cool and circulate fresh air from the street around the apartment, and Purifier SX02 also purifies it;
- cost significantly less.

It would be reasonable to ask, for whom will the fans be most suitable? The main audience is those whose windows overlook the roadway with a strong gas content or pet owners. But if neither is available, then placing the devices in the bedroom, where dust often accumulates due to the abundance of cotton bedding, will have a positive effect on cleanliness and dust removal.
Of the shortcomings, I note only the horizontal distribution of air without the possibility of tilt. Well, as another personal quibble, I would like to have built-in sensors for analyzing indoor air purity in the Purifier SX02 model, taking into account its cost. This would not only make it possible to visually see the difference before and after the operation of the fan, but also to control the wear of the filters with an increase in the level of contamination.
pros
- Modern and laconic design for any interior.
- Ease of setup and operation.
- Perceptible freshness in Bladeless Fan T3 and good air purification in Purifier SX02.
- A clear application with the ability to control outside the home.
- Stable and trouble-free operation.
Minuses
- Unidirectional horizontal air distribution.
- The absence of an air purity analysis sensor in the Purifier SX02.
controversial points
- Relatively noisy even at night.
- The location of the controls at the bottom of the base.
