Five members of a neo-Nazi organization were arrested by the Italian police in its wider area of Rome and Naples. At the same time, the Police carried out 30 raids in various regions of the country. According to Italian media, those arrested were planning violent attacks and posed a substantial risk to public order in Italy.
“This is a very worrying message because it shows that hatred is spreading, to an extent that we could not have imagined,” said Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piadendozzi. One of the arrested, as the Italian newspaper La Repubblica writes, had approached, in a dangerous way, far-right organizations of Ukraine.
Finally, as emerged from telephone monitoring, those arrested glorified “white power” and made reference to plans to attack a section of the Carabinieri, outside Naples.
