Controversial American art collective MSCHF has just brought to light a little bag so tiny you’ll literally need a microscope to see it. The tiny piece bears the Louis Vuitton logo and will soon be auctioned in Paris, France.
To create the peculiar piece they were based on the model of LV’s Onthego GM bag, but it is said that MSCHF did not obtain any permission from the prestigious French brand, so it is not considered an official collaboration.
MSCHF does it again, as its team of creatives has designed a mini bag that could only serve us if we were the size of an ant. Although, according to the American brand, it is a piece of art, because in their social networks they expressed the reason for designing this product.
There are big bags, normal bags and small bags, but this is the last word in bag miniaturization. As an object that once functions as a bag gets smaller and smaller, its status as an object becomes more and more abstract until it is purely a brand reference.
On the other hand, according Vogue, the mini bag will be exhibited in a sealed gel box and placed under a microscope in public view at the 8 Avenue Matignon gallery, in Paris, from June 20 to 24, although an auction will be held afterwards for those who wish to acquire it. Obviously, we do not doubt that there will be buyers willing to bid for it. For now, through a statement, the brand offered more details about its peculiar bag.
MSCHF microscopic bag for the next Pharrell auction. Next week our new piece of art is going up for auction in Paris during fashion week. Smaller than a grain of sea salt and narrow enough to fit through the eye of a needle, this is a bag so small you’ll need a microscope to see it.
Apparently, the bag is more of a social experiment, as it seems that it was only made to demonstrate the incredible power that a prestigious brand can have.
