Two women, suspected of dragging an electric skate, in the center of Paris, a 32-year-old Italian woman, who eventually died, were arrested today (24/6) and have been taken into custody, the French Agency reported, citing the prosecutor’s office of the French capital.
The accident happened shortly after midnight on June 14, on a sidewalk along the Seine, according to a police source.
About 50 people had gathered at the spot. Among them, a 32-year-old Italian woman, who had just met her co-workers from work and who was talking to a friend, when she was dragged by the electric skate, on which the two young women were riding, who abandoned their victim.
After being taken to hospital in serious condition, The victim, Miriam S., born in Rome and a resident of Paris, passed away on June 16.
Ten days after the accident, the alleged driver and the skater were arrested and detained on charges of “negligent homicide by a driver of a motor vehicle charged with abandoning the victim”, the French Agency reported, confirming an information BFMTV network.
