Cocaine was found in a consignment of bananas in a supermarket in Warsaw.
According to the APE-MPE, officials located some suspicious packages, which later turned out to be drugs.
“They immediately notified the police, who confiscated the products and launched an investigation,” the company told Reuters, adding that it was working with Polish authorities.
According to Warsaw police the packages contained over 160 kilos of cocaine, worth 30 million zlotys (about 8 million euros).
Drugs were later found in other branches of the same chain.
