A new project, another, to give substance toMarvel Universe. The Sony, according to the American The Illuminerdi, would have decided to further expand its cinematic substratum by including one within it Spider-Man Sui generis. Peter Parker, the quiet kid whom the spider monster has given special powers, would have nothing to do with the Marvel movie. Nor would it have Spider-Woman, his female counterpart to which Sony has already said it wants to dedicate an entire film.
The new film by Spider-Man should have for protagonist Dusk, a superhero with no identity who, in comics, has only appeared twenty-seven times, from 1998 onwards. Dusk, among the Marvel cartoons, has never had a unique connotation. Different characters have donned the mask, fighting as needed one or the other threat. Peter Parker himself is said to have used Dusk’s identity, Twilight, to lead the Rebels to victory within the Negative Zone. Back then, Spider-Man faced the evil Blastaar, but Sony doesn’t seem to want to do much about this battle.
Together with Marvel, the Studios would have decided to tell the story of Dusk as it was written by Cassie St. Commons, a student described in the comics as a little Lisbeth Salander, with black hair like ebony, pierced nose and tongue and face tattoos. Cassie St. Commons, whose powers include teleportation, shadow manipulation and the ability to heal her every wound, could be the ideal candidate for give a feminine note to the Marvel Universe, whose pink turn you will have (also) with Spider-Woman, Madame Web e Jackpot.
