In February 2022, five professional divers undertook the repair of an underwater oil carrier off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago. The operation was converted into a nightmare when unpredictable air pressure inside the tube, 76 cm in diameter, resulted in all five men puffing inside, at a depth of hundreds of meters. Only one of the divers, 39 -year -old Christopher Boodram, managed to survive. After a titanic and unthinkable effort of three hours, he dragged his injured body through the dark, narrow and flooded pipeline and was taken to the hospital. There, he discovered with horror that rescue efforts for his other colleagues had repeatedly been blocked.
