Toy company Mattel has expressed “deep regret” over a misprint on the packaging of children’s dolls inspired by the new film “Wicked” which included the address of a website with pornographic content. Mattel recently released the singing dolls ahead of the highly anticipated movie starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. However, observant fans spotted a porn site address on the packaging instead of the film’s official website and posted images on social media. As reported by the BBC, in a statement Mattel apologized for the “unfortunate error” and warned parents that the site was “not suitable for children”. According to instructions on Mattel’s website, the wrong address is on the packaging of the dolls representing the characters “Glinda” and “Elphaba”, just below the logo of Universal Pictures, the film’s production company.
