“They must have said I was pretty”, says Andrea Bocelli’s wife about dating

Veronica Berti shared details about the beginning of his love story with Andrea Bocelli . The couple, who walked down the aisle in 2014, met in 2001 at a party that neither of them had much enthusiasm for attending.

In an interview with the Italian edition of Vanity Fair, the 40-year-old businesswoman – who has daughter Virgina, 11, with the acclaimed singer – said she believes someone told Bocelli, who is blind about her, inspiring him to take the first step.

“Someone must have told him I was a pretty girl, so he came over to introduce himself,” he joked. “I told him, 'Maestro, it's an honor to meet you.' And he replied: 'Since you treat me with formality, we must surely be the same age'.”

When asked about how long she and the tenor, now 65, had been dating before making their union official, she replied: “Two and a half minutes. We met and Soon after we moved in together . I follow my instincts, I like to make decisions impulsively. It doesn't mean they're right, it's my limitation. In this case, fortunately, it was.”

A age difference between the two was, according to Veronica, an element that enriched the relationship.

“As a husband and wife, working together for so many years, it's not always easy, but I believe the age difference ended up benefiting us. We have the same personality, we are both passionate and explosive, and I'm sure if we were the same age, we would have exchanged barbs. Today, however, he is the most tolerant and patient. I'm like a pressure cooker,” she concluded.
