They reached an agreement in Congress – Fiscal paralysis in the US will be avoided with Trump’s support

US President Donald Trump called on Republicans and Democrats to support the revised federal government funding bill in Congress. The deal, which aims to avoid fiscal paralysis, must be approved before the midnight deadline on Friday (early Saturday morning Greek time). In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump says the plan includes an increase in the debt ceiling through January 30, 2027, and funds for farmers and disaster relief. Earlier today, the reaching of an agreement in Congress was revealed by Republican representatives Tom Cole and Stephanie Bice. Yesterday Wednesday, Donald Trump and his Vice President-elect J. D. Vance had opposed the proposed text in a joint statement, stressing that any concession to the Democrats would be tantamount to “betraying the country” and that the Republicans should not be intimidated by the threat of the paralysis of the federal state apparatus, the famous shutdown.
