“They tell me to amputate it”: 18-year-old born with a “huge” hand and lashes out about bullying on social media

A woman born with one rare condition, caused one of her arms to swell in size, with the trolls telling her to “amputate it”. Not only does she not think about it, but she shows them that she can do anything…

More specifically, 18-year-old Olivia Klopchin, from Springfield, Vermont, was diagnosed with vascular dysplasia at two months old when her family spotted a birthmark on the inside of her elbow.

Klopchin’s condition is caused by abnormal growth of the blood vessels, which can lead to discoloration or protrusions in the affected area.

One of her hands is swollen and is disproportionate with the other, while the skin appears slightly discolored and bruised. However, it is still fully functional – something many social media users seem to ignore when they give her the “tips» them.

Klopchin regularly posts about her life and situation at TikTok, but also the advice given by users with the most shocking comment to amputate her swollen arm. But the girl is very strong, doesn’t shy away from mean comments and shows what it’s like to live with a huge hand.

In one clip – which has been viewed more than 2.4 million times – Klopchin responded to a comment telling her to remove her limb. In it, an audio clip from an episode of the animated series “Bob’s Burgers” is heard in which someone angrily says, “Get it out!” — and the character replies: “I’d rather die».

Comments of support poured in. “ Can you imagine amputating a hand that is used and functioning well???? Really;;; ! someone wrote about the clip. “People would really rather you lose one altogether functional limb because they don’t find it aesthetically pleasing,” commented another.

Of course, there were some users who supported the opinion that the girl should amputate her arm.

“Personally I’d rather have a really nice additional member that I could decorate. But that’s just me,” one TikTok follower wrote. “You will look great better off without itsomeone else told her.

Klopchin said she initially didn’t want to upload a video about her hand but eventually made the decision to do so, giving courage to other people who are going through the same situation as her.

“I had never seen anyone with the same condition as me on the internet. I immediately jumped at the opportunity because I wanted people like me to be able to go to their phones and say, ‘Hey, this person has what I have,’ or ‘Hey, we look alike,'” he told the NeedToKnow.

Klopchin said she had mixed reactions from people online – with some telling her off How beautiful it’s also how much they admire her confidence, while others try to tear her down.

“THE negativity on the Internet consumes life many people, but I choose not to let it consume mine,” she said.

“I wonder why I would let these people influence me when I’m already doing so well in my life and when I’m already doing the things I want to do,” she continued.

Although most TikToks give her the courage to carry on, Klopchin admitted that her condition sometimes hurts her hand clots. Fortunately, she doesn’t suffer from them very often and they haven’t stopped her from participating in various activities.

What do you think; . “Besides the pain, I can do many sports. I was hanging out with friends and my friends would ask me things about my hand, but I was always open and willing to answer their questions,” she explained.

“I’m really thankful that my hand hasn’t given me any handicap in my life. I could consider him pain disadvantagebut I choose not to.”
