They unblock arrangements and insurance updates at the Funds

To Dimitris Katsaganis

Unlocks the possibility of settling insurance debts and obtaining insurance information for 230,000 affected employers.

This is because, according to secure information of “K” from competent executives of e-EFKA, the control was completed in relation to the contributions declared during the pandemic and those paid by the employers (ie the Control of Declared-Paid) a few days ago.

Thus, it is absolutely clear, and in fact through the electronic services of e-EFKA (ie without the need for physical presence in a branch), what and how much each affected employer owes for the pandemic period (specifically from February 2020 to November 2021).

It is noted, however, that the deadline for the settlement of the debts of the pandemic in up to 72 installments finally expired on February 28, 2022, without being given – as it was considered – a new extension.

However, once the scope of the declared-paid contributions has been clarified, any affected employer may wish to settle their debts in up to 12 installments or, of course, repay them in a lump sum, in order to obtain the insurance information needed for a series of transactions. .

That is, it is technically possible to settle his debts not only during the pandemic period, but also before or after it. Until recently, as the debt landscape for the pandemic had not been clarified, it was not possible to include them not only in the 72 installments, but also in the 12 installments, including other debts before February 2020 and after November 2021. But now such a thing is possible.

The process

More specifically, according to the same sources, e-EFKA proceeded with the computerized checks of declared-paid contributions (EDK) carried out on the employers for the salary periods from February 2020 (ie one month before the outbreak of the pandemic) .

These Declared-Paid Checks are a special computerized audit process, extending over 22 pay periods (from February 2020 to November 2021) for approximately 230,000 employers affected by the pandemic (based on KAD), which incorporated, through extensions, the following requirements:

– Incorporation of all subsidized or covered by the State Budget insurance contributions (suspension of employment contracts, mechanism of employment enhancement “Co-Work”, subsidy of fixed costs, additional support measures for employees and employers of tourist accommodation of twelve months of operation) .

– Extension of the deadline for payment of insurance contributions for the salary periods February 2020, March 2020 and April 2020 until December 31, 2021.

– Modification, for the first time since the beginning of the institution of Audit-Declared Audit, of its serial flow, so that the first three months (February 2020 – April 2020) of the period are audited last.

– For any unpaid contributions for the months between February 2020 and June 2021, they were given the opportunity to be subject to an independent favorable arrangement (up to 72 installments).

Taking into account the above, the aforementioned Central Audits of Declared-Paid were carried out, in which provision was made, with corresponding parameterization of the operating system, which supports in KEAO, the regulation of 72 installments, so that the amounts charged to the reference month of November 21 due to the forced “transfer” of payments made by employers until December 31, 2021, for the repayment, as a matter of priority, of the unpaid contributions of the earlier period February 2020 – April 2020, to be included in this favorable debt settlement.

What will happen to those who did not enter the 72 dose installment

Those affected entrepreneurs who did not join the regulation of the 72 installments for debts that arose during the pandemic (February 2020 – June 2021) will be faced with new notices of the Insurance Debt Collection Center (KEAO).

According to secure information from Capital.gr, out of the approximately 500,000 affected entrepreneurs (employers and freelancers), only 50,000, ie 10%, joined the regulation of 72 installments. In other words, close to 450,000 affected employers and professionals have out-of-control debt created by the pandemic.

The same sources state that the government, for the time being at least, does not intend to treat the affected entrepreneurs with overdue insurance debts differently from the non-affected entrepreneurs with overdue debts. Both debtors, regardless of KAD, will suffer the consequences provided by law, ie they will receive notices, they will be given a period of 20 days after receiving them and, if they do not settle or repay their debts, they will enter a “trajectory” of coercive measures. collection.
