Thiago Brennand is sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison for the crime of rape

The São Paulo Court of Justice sentenced, this Wednesday (11), businessman Thiago Brennand to 10 years and six months in prison for the crime of rape.

This is the third case in which the businessman is a defendant in the São Paulo Courts that has come to an end. The other two were closed after agreement between the parties.

This is the first decision that sentences Brennand to prison. According to judge Israel Salu’s determination, Brennand must begin serving his sentence in a closed regime. The process took place in the 2nd Court of Porto Feliz.

In addition to ordering prison, the judge also ordered Brennand to pay compensation for moral damages of at least R$50,000 to the victim.
