The thief who shot in the direction of a resident who was recording him stealing a cell phone was caught committing another robbery, in São Paulo, on the same day, last Sunday (2).
In the new images, you can see a man on a motorcycle, with a delivery bag, approaching a woman who was walking on the sidewalk.
He points the gun at the victim, who hands over an object. The biker then leaves the scene. The action was captured by a security camera.
In a note, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) stated that the “images released are under analysis by the 15th and 96th Police Districts, which are carrying out diligence in search of other elements that help in identifying the perpetrators”.
“The investigation sectors of the units are in contact to exchange information. Efforts to combat crime in the region are ongoing. The ostensive and preventive policing carried out in the areas was intensified”, completes the statement.
The same biker used a similar approach in another robbery, in Itaim Bibi, a prime area in the west of São Paulo, on the same day.

Then, it is possible to hear curses and screams to “call the police” before the criminal shoots towards the balcony of a building belonging to a resident who was recording the action. The shot missed her. Watch the video below.
The case took place on Rua Dr. Fadlo Haidar, in Itaim Bibi, an upscale neighborhood on the west side of São Paulo.
A CNN spoke with the resident who recorded the video, who preferred not to identify herself.
She reported that she has already been robbed at gunpoint in the same place and has seen this type of robbery occur at least five times on the street.
The author of the video did not expect the thief to shoot her: “I didn’t think he was going to do that. I acted on impulse, on emotion. It was because of the indignation, because of the lack of security on the street, every day there are armed robberies here. It was a mistake, a scare, but this exposure is good to see what the police will do”.
According to her, the shot hit the wall of the building and the projectile left a hole in the balcony of her room. Residents created a neighborhood group and set up an association to try to mobilize against the situation.
