Three thieves broke into a Caixa Econômica Federal branch in the city of São Carlos, in the interior of São Paulo, this Friday morning (29). The suspects entered the establishment through the roof and managed to access the store’s treasury.
According to the Public Security Secretariat, bank employees informed the police that upon entering the branch, the suspects captured some workers. They took around R$800,000.00 in cash.
The ministry also highlighted that the incident left no injuries and that the case will be investigated by the Federal Police. After the robbery, the suspects fled.
THE CNN, Caixa Econômica Federal said it cooperates “with the investigations of the competent bodies and provides information exclusively to the police authorities.”
