Can benefit from the booster even those who have been vaccinated with the single-dose Johnson & Johnson: the Technical Scientific Commission of the Italian Medicines Agency (Aifa) gave its positive opinion: “For subjects vaccinated with Covid-19 Janssen it is appropriate to administer a heterologous booster dose with mRna vaccine (in the dosages authorized for the dose booster) from 6 months after the first dose “.
So far, the recall has been given to about 2.5 million Italians. “That’s 86.6% of people who have had the first dose and 83.6% of people who have completed the vaccination cycle, ”says Speranza. “We have to insist: every single extra vaccine allows us to have an extra shield.”

In Lombardy, 365 pharmacies have been authorized to administer the recall since yesterday, and as of today, all those vaccinated for at least 6 months with a single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine have access to booster with an mRna vaccine.
In Piedmont, all citizens who have completed the vaccination cycle for 6 months will be sent the call SMS. The green light for the administration of third doses has also arrived in facilities for minors, the disabled, psychiatric patients and drug addicts.
